Chips Motorsports 12.7mm Rotary Engine Stud Kit are designed with the racer in mind. Be confident that these Engine Studs can withstand multiple engine refreshes, are corrosion resistant, and can be mounted and dismounted multiple times using the Torx head. Strength is a top priority, which is why we manufacture these from 300 Series Stainless Steel. 300 Series Stainless Steel has the highest yield strength at 140,000 PSI and a tensile strength of 170,000 PSI.
As an added benefit, the bottom threads are relief machined in. Without relived threads, pulling out threads is a high chance of failure on cast material plates (seen it, done it myself many times). Stud Top ends are Torx, for easy installation. No more pliers or other stud remover tool necessary.
Overall design are improved based on current markets 12.7mm stud kits.
