Chips Motorsports is a Rotary Performance Shop located in Metro Detroit, Michigan and services vehicles from all around the Midwest. We also provide our rotary engine rebuilds, parts are services to rotary, RX-7 and RX-8 owners worldwide. We have over 20 years of experience, from restoring stock daily drivers to building turbocharged track monsters and show cars. From the FC3S to FD3S & SE3P – our experience and knowledge allows us to provide you, the customer, quality products and professional services.
What We Do
Chips Motorsports is one of the best kept secrets in the RX-7, RX-8 and rotary community. We specialize in custom rotary engine rebuilds including street ports, peripheral ports, plate lapping / nitrating, rotor balancing, and much, much more. We provide these services to the general public as well as a service to other rotary performance shop – if you have a high performance rotary engine – chances are Chips has helped somewhere along the way.
What We Make
In addition to our rotary engine rebuilds and service – we manufacturer a number of rotary specific 12A, 13B & 20B parts to compliment and enhance our motors. Our in-house CNC and full on fabrication shop allows us to continuously innovate and refine parts for our customers specific goals. From dry sumps kits, to oil distribution blocks, to manifolds and studs. If you can dream it, we can probably make it.
