ROTOR HOUSING RESURFACING

Rotor Housing Resurfacing provides a clean starting point to any rebuild. Using 3D scanning and CAD surfacing models, we are able to precisely machine rotor housings that have been previously used. Our methods remove only the slightest layer from the surface of the housing faces in order to provide proper oil seal tolerances. In some cases, rotor housings simply aren’t reusable due to excessive scoring or other damage from catastrophic failure.  Before beginning the service, we will inspect your housings and make a judgement on their true condition.  If they are too damaged, we will simply return or dispose of the housing based on your directions.  However, if they are with acceptable tolerances, our resurfacing service gets them back to square one.

Our Rotor Housing Resurfacing Service includes the following:

1. Inspect the housing once it has been received at our shop.  We will relay our findings and make recommendations on how to proceed.
2. Strip clean the housing to remove all foreign dirt, coolant remnants, oxidation and rust.
3. Once the housing has been cleaned, it will go to our CNC machine to be measured and centered to ensure a exact surface removal and OEM housing curve match.
4. Once centered in our CNC machine, the material removal can begin. Because of the tight tolerance along with our custom macro centering program, minimal material is removed from the chrome surface.
5. Housing will undergo additional services if requested, including but not limited to CNC work or complete engine reassembly.
6. If no other service is requested, we will return the housings back to you.
